​Prof. Sakthivel Ramanathan is a Structural Engineer with more than three decades of professional experience in the analysis, design, auditing, and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete and steel structures across Tamil Nadu. He holds a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Anna University and has successfully completed Sections A & B of The Institution of Engineers (India).He is the Founder and Principal Engineer of SK Consulting Engineers, Madurai, a consultancy known for its practical, field‑oriented approach to structural design, site engineering, and retrofitting solutions. His expertise spans residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, with a strong focus on structural safety, serviceability, and code compliance. Prof. Sakthivel is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) and an active member of several professional bodies including ACCE(I), IAStructE, IGS, and ICI. He has authored multiple technical manuals, research papers, and field guides, and is committed to developing accessible engineering knowledge for practicing engineers, students, and site professionals. He also serves as a publisher under the imprint SK Consulting Engineers Publications, contributing to the dissemination of practical engineering literature. His work includes manuals on sunshades, porticos, cantilevered elements, and structural auditing practices. His professional interests include structural auditing, RCC detailing, retrofitting of distressed structures, field‑based engineering documentation, and capacity building for young engineers.​

​Ms. Kaviya Devi S is a Structural Engineering Associate at SK Consulting Engineers. She holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from PSNA College of Engineering and Technology and an M.E. in Structural Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai. She works in structural design, RCC detailing, drafting, and preparation of technical manuals. Her interests include RCC behavior, sunshade and portico design, structural modelling, and field‑based engineering documentation. She also contributes as co‑author to SKCE technical publications and research works.
